Handmade gifts are more personal and show someone that you have put a lot of thought into their gift. These beaded earrings are not only simple to make but they also look really cool and are colourful enough to brighten up any of the typical rainy May days that we are currently experiencing. Perhaps this would even be an idea for mothers day or some other occasion.
Supplies
Colourful beads
String
Hooks, rings and clasps (available from craft stores)
Thread the beads onto the string. I used a sturdy string that I got with a jewellery making set and I think the stiffness of it works quite well for this project.
Once the beads are threaded, clasp the the ends of the string using a metal clasp and cut of the excess ends of the string.
Put the ring through the loop at the end of the clasp and attach it to the earring hook and voila you now have a cute, quirky earring. Repeat the steps for the other one and you're done.
